This workshop is
invaluable.
You gave us REAL information that we
could begin to work with immediately! I've already put what
I've learned into practice. I took the workbook to dinner to show my
husband, who is a business consultant. I said "I know you already know
all of this but I'm going to show it to you anyway!"
I expected a lot from the workshop from knowing you -
I knew
your integrity and honesty so I expected that level of commitment to your
work.
It's changed the way I think about a lot of things. It's changed my perspective that a belief that once we've
sent the brochure, that should be enough...is not the right way of looking
at marketing.
I can't do any of these "slam bam" or gimmicky marketing
approaches. It's just not me. I learned that I don't have to
pretend to be somebody that I'm not.
The pre-work helped me to see that
you were going to tailor to my needs and that you were very serious about
this. It wasn't one of those "I'll come and give you 5 things that you
should have done and by Friday you'll be up and running and a millionaire."
Lot's of times, marketing people get you in and it's sort of like the
sorority rush feel...they get you in and then they're pumping you up and
telling you how great you are and then they hit you with the sales pitch.
When you don't give them what they want, they're out of there...and you
leave with nothing.

For me, there is no amount of money, from the knowledge that
you gave me in such a short period of time...if I would have had that
knowledge when I first started out, I was sitting there thinking where my
business could be today versus where it actually is because everything we
were doing, we were doing the old-fashioned way.
This is not "just another Marketing workshop". This is
hands-on, engaging and empowering. I could feel in me, in my spirit,
that I had more knowledge just from this one session. I can only
imagine how I will feel after Session 2. Allowing us (the
participants) to dialogue with one another and as a group which was very
helpful too. You catered to each one of us and to each of our
businesses.
Before this workshop, I was just focused on my brochure and
some ads...now I see that it is so much more than that. The way I used to do it...is no more. I'm going to
switch to the things that I have learned from you because I want to stand
out and I see my ads that are out there right now are not making me stand out .
. . I look like everybody else. When I look at advertising now, I look at it from a much
different perspective and I see how powerful the changes you taught me to
make would make a big difference. I was so angry with myself after I
left. I took a critical look at my ads and from what I had learned in
the class, I knew that they needed a lot of work.
I have a marketing person that I am paying good money to.
If I had met with her the day after the workshop, I would have fired her!
But, I thought about it and realized that I'm empowered with the knowledge
that I can now work with her to ensure that my marketing is saying what it
needs to say to get results. My suggestion to her is that she take
this workshop!
The pre-work was excellent. It got me focused and
helped me to get my mind thinking and ready for the workshop. This is the first time I have ever been engaged like this.
Normally, it is a speaker and people that sit there and listen - you don't
engage. There may be a question/answer session at the end.
What I really like was the hands-on exercises, interaction and coaching.
I did not feel intimidated. I applaud you for making us feel

I was expecting a generic marketing workshop. This was much more
one-on-one. You got into everyone's personal issues and challenges.
It was very introspective.
